Attending Notre Dame on a four-year Army ROTC scholarship, Steve faced a challenge the first week of his second semester – being removed from his French class. Steve changes course and ends up majoring in Japanese (and economics). And the start of a remarkable journey – studying abroad, joining a basketball team will in Tokyo and winning the Small College Championship, getting arrested in multiple countries, being an Army Judge Advocate General following law school, and transitioning to private practice.
